Mini-Grille Aluminium Roller Shutters

Maverick Mini-Grille Aluminium Roller Shutters are suitable for a wide range of commercial, industrial and domestic applications with either internal or external installations including shopping centres, shop fronts, countertops, arcades, surveys, clubs, doorways, verandas, or any area where visibility and airflow are essential, without compromising security. They offer the added advantage of being housed in a pelmet box where headroom is a minimum.

SPECIFICATIONS

Size

Each Mini-Grille Aluminium Roller Shutter can be manufactured up to a width of 3.6m or a total of 9 square metres.

Curtain

The curtain is manufactured by alternating and interlocking 45mm x 30mm x 1.5mm extruded aluminium links with 36mm extruded aluminium slats, in 6063-T5 alloy to form a continuous hinge. Each joining slat is fitted with moulded nylon end clips to prevent lateral movement and provide a smooth and quiet operation inside the side guides. Link size, spacing and curtain format can be changed to any layout. Polycarbonate infills can also be added.

Bottom Rail

The bottom rail of the shutter is manufactured from an extruded aluminium section 65mm x 10mm which shall encase a locking device. Optional felt brush available.

Locking

The bottom rail houses a keyed centre lock within the extrusion. This operates 15mm x 2mm aluminium flat bars which, when in the locked position, secure into the side guides on both sides of the opening. The standard locking position allows for double-sided lock with operation from both inside and out.

Side Guides

The guides are manufactured from extruded aluminium sections 53mm deep x 25mm wide, 62mm deep x 25mm wide or Heavy Duty 72mm deep x 27mm wide. Optional felt brush available.

Brackets

Manufactured from slotted 90mm x 40mm mild steel.

Pelmet Boxes

All Mini-Grille aluminium shutters can be enclosed in various numbers of different size pelmet boxes from 150mm up to 250mm.

Drum

The drum is manufactured from a 60mm diameter hexagonal tube and shall be fitted with helical coil springs designed to counterbalance the curtain weight throughout its full operation. Alternatively, the curtain can be fitted to a 200mm drum (no pelmet box). The drum is manufactured from a spiral ducted tube attached to mild steel wheels with fully enclosed ball bearings which rotate around a 34mm steel shaft with next to no friction. These drums are also fitted with helical coil springs.

Operation

Manual operation, simply push up and pull down with the supplied pull pole. Doors can be electrically motorised with various push buttons, remote control or key switch operation.

Finish

Clear anodised standard colour Powder coating is an option in the Dulux powder coat range.
